ADM Polymer Company is seeking a Second Shift Construction Supervisor to coordinate activities at the PHA Biodegradable Plastics plant in Clinton Iowa, to assure safety, low cost, and timeliness of the plant construction. In this position you will:
?Work with contractors, both Union and non-Union, to efficiently organize and schedule tasks within the plant.
?Work closely with plant management and technical resources to assure the proper quality of work on capital projects and process at the plant.
?Interface with assigned Project Engineers for design requirements throughout life of project.
?Coordinate site personnel on all assigned projects including coordination between subcontractors, craft labor and post-order construction.
?Responsible for direction of subcontractor work within scopes established.
?Ensure policies are properly administered relating to all project documentation, communication and reporting routines.
?Interface with project planning and scheduling to insure accurate execution of schedule, provide updates and percent complete evaluations.
?Work with the PHA Safety Manager to ensure all site safety procedures are strictly adhered to including weekly meetings and documentation routines.
?Emphasize and require safety and compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations and ADM requirements.
?Coordinate with Project Control to ensure timely and accurate inputs into financial reporting.
?Lead by example, fostering an atmosphere of trust and cooperation.
?Openly communicate information to others.
Education
?High school diploma or GED with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing) is required. A degree in Construction Engineering or a related field would be a plus.
Required Skills and Experience
?5+ years on-site construction methods experience.
?Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, etc?
?Working knowledge of structural steel, industrial piping, concrete and other civil works, and tools used in construction.
?Strong commitment to safety in the performance of all work.
?Proficiency in computer scheduling programs and MS Office products.
?Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
?Proven negotiating skills.
?Professionalism in developing and leading a team of employees.
?Flexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvement.
?Physically capable of walking long distances, standing for long periods, stooping, bending, lifting fifty pounds routinely and climbing stairs and ladders.
?Ability and willingness to work outside in extreme weather conditions (i.e. heat, cold, rain, wind, dust, etc?)
?Ability and willingness to work second shift on a regular basis and odd hours when needed.

?Experience with Maximo software.
?Previous leadership experience.
